You need to extend our software? Is that expensive?

Since we are working with a standard product, specifically designed for franchising, most of what most franchises need is built-in. This means that you get things like a system for each franchise, CRM, invoicing & management service fees and much more as part of the package.

Unless you have a generic business model (whatever that is!), we can’t avoid doing some work based on your specific needs but this approach allows us to focus on providing the extra functionality which makes your business unique, keeping development time and cost to a minimum.

Why do I need special franchise software?

We have a lot of customers who used to have software designed for a specific industry (or even something done on the cheap by a friend).

The problem comes when you need to run franchised offices. The basic problem for normal software in a franchised environment is sharing data between lots of people all over the country. There is no magic data integration tool; we know, we spend our lives checking to see if one has been invented and we promise we’ll retire when it is.

At this point you really do need a purpose-built solution; a great database, experienced developers and great support.

Will I own the software?

It all depends on what we agree with you. We can’t sell you our development tools but we are open to agreeing exclusive licensing for things that you ask us to develop. Please just ask.

How can I rely on GreyRidge?

We have successfully been in business for 7 years and have no plans to change what we do. However, for your peace of mind, if we should get hit by a bus, we can contract that our industry-standard technology can be independently owned and developed independently by you. Please just ask.

Can I get my data at any time?

We use the best database technology on the planet. However, for a very small administration fee, we are happy to routinely take back-ups of your data and documents in a suitable format and then make them available to you for download just as often as you need.

Do I need a server to install it on?

Franchise 360 was developed from the ground up to be an entirely web-based, hosted application. The system runs on our securely hosted servers and is available using any web browser from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. This allows us to professionally monitor, backup and secure your system allowing you to concentrate on your business rather than maintaining your IT systems.

What is GRAD?

GRAD stands for the GreyRidge Rapid Application Development framework, a set of pre-built and pre-tested components which we have developed over the last 4 years. All of our products, including Franchise 360 are built on this framework, ensuring our products can be tailored incredibly quickly and that the end result is of a high quality.

Can I install it locally?

You can install it locally but this is likely to cost a little more since you will need to buy your own hardware and database licences (we will help you with that!).

Will my data be secure?

All our applications are hosted in a secure facility, behind high grade firewalls and are monitored by our technical staff. All data passed to our servers is password protected and secured using SSL, the same technology Amazon use to protect your credit card data

Can it integrate with my accounting system?

Most accounting systems have the ability to import financial transactions. We have a ready-made Sage integration module and Franchise 360 can integrate with other accounting systems if required. This increases your efficiency by eliminating the need for re-entering the data

Do my franchisees need to be computer experts to use the system?

No, not at all. In developing the system we work hard with lots of interaction with you and your franchisees to ensure the system is well designed and easy to use. As part of our service all your training needs and user manuals are designed around your specific franchise requirements. Due to the user friendliness of our systems training can usually be compelted in less than a day as part of your regular franchisee meetings.

Can I add to my software as my franchise model grows or changes?
